Chilean Sea Bass
Chilean Seabass has become a coveted selection in some of the most prestigious restaurant worldwide for its rich flavored white meat.
The Chilean sea bass, also known as Patagonian toothfish, is very similar to the black cod or sablefish of the north Atlantic. The toothfish is long-line harvested in the deep and cold southern waters of Antarctica, Argentina, Peru and Chile. The average commercially harvested Chilean sea bass weighs about 20 pounds, but it can grow up to 50 years weighing 250 pounds.
